Reduced are a Sex -Linked colour.By mating a "Reduced **** "onto any colour hen every "Daughter"will be of the "Reduced"colour.The Sons will be any other colour but split to" Reduced".Mating two "Reduced"together will always breed "Reduced "cocks and hens.Some people call these "Opals"which is not correct.When these birds have malted their colour is more like a "Oyster Colour"where some have almost white or orange coloured bars.Hope this will help someone to understand this wonderful colour a bit more.
